Not giving up, when you reach the lowest point

We know far too many women who have left their job after the birth of the child, to make sure they are able to give the best care, or because of circumstances where they feel leaving the workforce is the best option. And sometimes, many of them choose to return back to workforce. Sujatha, whom we meet in this episode, seems to be no different, initially.

After an initial assignment with a bank, she left, to be a full time mom. But then, due to circumstances she had to resume work, but this time in a different field. Thereafter we hear a series of instances when Sujatha has to move from one are of her expertise to a completely new area, learn and establish there, again to move on.

Sujatha takes us through this journey and focusses especially on the low moments, the real low moments, and shares what kept her going. What kept her from giving up on life!

In fact, she reflects a lot on her initial training at the bank and how that has helped her throughout her life, in the various career paths she has chosen.

She talks about realizing what is outside of her control, as a big step, in taking decisions. She shares about her belief in efforts, regardless of when the results of those efforts will come.

I encourage you to listen to her experiences, the learnings, the positive spirit and never say die attitude that has taken her from a junior financial role in a bank to the content head of a leading television channel, that too, at the age of 50!
