Working in the forests of India - What made me not give up

For someone who has not seen snow ever, working in Kashmir Himalayas is a wonderful change. But Jis talks about more, about her interactions with women from Kashmir and why that is very special for her. She talks about interacting closely with women from Arunachal, Assam and in the Western Ghats and what this realization led to.

She then moves on to the lowest points - this is something we don’t hear about usually, especially when we meet successful people. We hear about people facing tragedies and what life gave them and how they courageously fought and won. We very rarely hear people talking about their own self-doubts, wanting to give up everything and choose something much more easier - but what helped them overcome such a crisis. Jis talks about this in great detail and it is a pleasure to hear someone talk about this and to learn from this.

We talk about knowledgeable women and about Jis going back to women who helped her, who didn’t have to and women's inner strength.

Jis talks about the workshops she conducts(details available in the Facebook page given below), to help women come together and the importance of looking at inner self. And then she shares her message for all of us.

You would not want to miss this conversation with Jis.
